Sleeping Well
The "feed/fatigue cycle"
A newborn will snack, fall asleep, and wake up hungry to snack again. If you want him to sleep longer, feed him well. Try 1.5 to 2 ounces of milk, a gentle diaper change and swaddle. As baby grows the amount of milk must increase to fit his needs, and it is easier to keep baby awake to suckle rather than trying to awaken him after he has been allowed to sleep deeply.
When your baby is ready to sleep, put her (or him) to bed with a Turtle atop for all the sleep they’ll have. This window of opportunity is very short (you’ve got about three yawns) and disappears for various reasons (too tired, wet, underfeeding, startle reflex, etc.), snuggling with a Turtle will help you make the most of it.
Synchronizing feeding, sleeping, and anything else, is important if you have multiple babies. Get them all fed well at the same time so they are ready to sleep at the same time. Place those Sleeping Turtles™ and watch the wonder of sleep.

TIP: While feeding your baby, use a finger of your bottle hand to apply mild pressure under the chin - it helps keeps her interested in feeding.
Stroking along the jaw line stimulates infantile "rooting," the feeding response.
It helps keep baby awake and interested in eating more so she'll sleep longer.
